Baureihe ET 403, Germany.

The luxury DB train Baureihe ET 403 travels through the German country side. Only three such trains were built for the German Federal Railway and the train was in service from 1973 -1993. Becuase of the distinctive front the train was nick named "Donald Duck"

Death Railway, Thailand.

The Death Railway built during World War 2 takes a dangerous curve near the Kwai River in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

The Ghan follows in the footsteps of the early explorers to the Heart of Australia traveling from Adelaide to Darwin via Alice Springs. This particular train showcases Australia's Aboriginal art.

The "Udarata Menike" (Hill Country Maiden), Sri Lanka.

The "Udarata Menike" meaning "Hill Country Maiden" travels through the Nanu Oya Rail Bridge in Nuwara Eliya on it's way to Badulla from Colombo. The water fall in the picture is Nanuoya Falls. The Nanuoya Railway Station is the gateway to Nuwara Eliya where you can find the famous tea gardens. Nuwara Eliya is referd toas "Little England" of Sri Lanka

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, Darjeeling, India.

The "Toy Train" on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway which is a UNESCO world heritage site making it's way to Darjeeling on the Ghoom Loop in Darjeeling.

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was the first, and is still the most outstanding example of a hill passenger railway. Opened in 1881, its design applies bold and ingenious engineering solutions to the problem of establishing an effective rail link across a mountainous terrain of great beauty - UNESCO
